Healthy raw energy salad

This is a template for a healthy, wholesome and raw "pick me up" snack to have between meals when you're running low on energy but want some clean and raw fuel for your body. This kind of small meal makes me feel energized, full and happy but it's only good to hold yourself over for a short time as a couple hours later I'm usually hungry again. You can also double it to make a full and satisfying meal. It would also make a delicious appetizer. Feel free to sub out fruits or veggies or get creative and make your own energy salad all together!

Ingredients:

Handful of washed and chopped kale, spinach or romaine
(any kind of dark leafy greens you enjoy to eat raw)

handful of sprouts

handful of organic grapes

3 large organic strawberries or 6 small ones, chopped

½ of an avocado, chopped/cubed

2 tablespoons of hemp seeds

Directions:

Layer on a small plate or in a small bowl your greens and sprouts followed by an outer ring of grapes. Pile on the chopped strawberries and avocados in the middle of the grape ring and sprinkle on hemp seeds over the whole salad. Makes a beautiful and colorful presentation. Enjoy!

*If you don't get organic produce- I do recommend opting for organic grapes and berries as these among some other produce tend to get hit the hardest by pesticides with conventional farming practices. If not, always wash and rinse well with a veggie scrub or some vinegar and water.
