Let thy food be thy medicine

I wish more people recognized how much our food is truly our medicine.
Everything we put in our bodies affects our health, and it’s so easy to make small changes by incorporating more whole foods into your diet. I try not to judge how others live their lives but I do like to inspire people to make choices they may not even realize are accessible to them. It’s great to buy local (we do so whenever we can), but certain times of year it is harder to find everything locally grown - so we do rely on the supermarket too. The carbon footprint and plastic clamshell containers are my biggest regret when doing this, however I’m still so grateful to even HAVE access to wholesome foods, whenever I need them, even if I don’t like how they’re packaged. Depending on geographic location and personal resources, many people feel they don’t have the access they need to obtain healthy foods in their life. If that’s you, I hope to convince you otherwise.  These days, even places like Walmart and Aldi have a plethora of organic, fresh, quality options for affordable prices - which is a nice option for people that don’t have local sources. People have varying opinions on where to shop - I get it, but everyone really needs to focus on what’s best for them and their family’s needs. I’m just making this post as a friendly reminder that our world is changing - and wholesome organic plant based foods are definitely more attainable than you would think! They aren’t just for the wealthy, they aren’t just for trendy diets or hippies… this good food should be for everyone, even if you don’t follow a plant based lifestyle. Everyone can benefit from eating more plants. Next time you’re out, go take a look and consider restocking your fridge or fruit basket with something more colorful and less processed. Just a friendly reminder… hoping maybe one person that reads this will eat some extra fruit today 💗🍎🍒🍉🍓🍅🍑🍊🥕🥭🍌🍋🍍🥑🫑🥒🥬🥦🍏🍐🫐🍆🍇#letthyfoodbethymedicine
