This is one of my favorite smoothie recipes from "Oh She Glows"! It's packed with protein and can be used as a meal, a snack, a dessert, or recovery smoothie after a workout. The flavor is thick, creamy, berry, and a bit of cinnamon. It has lots of protein, a bunch of healthy fats, and you can easily modify it if needed.
Ingredients:
(one serving)
1 cup unsweetened non-dairy milk
1/4 water or coconut water, plus more as needed
2 tablespoons avocado and/or 1 tablespoon coconut butter
1 scoop protein powder (vanilla or unflavored), I like to use Trader Joe's hemp protein powder
3 tablespoons hemp hearts
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 large frozen banana
1/4 cup frozen blueberries
1 teaspoon pure maple syrup (optional)
1-2 ice cubes (optional)
Directions:
Combine everything in a high speed blender until smooth. Add more water if needed to thin it out. Enjoy!
