This vanilla milkshake brings back the memories of sitting at a diner slurping a thick homemade vanilla milkshake through a straw. The best part though? It's actually HEALTHY for you. It's raw and wholesome so it's lower in fat and calories, but mimics the taste so well it could fool you for the real thing! I found this recipe in my awesome "Unprocessed" book by Chef AJ. You'll quickly be addicted to this one. Enjoy :)
Ingredients:
8 oz. almond milk
1 frozen banana
dates, to taste (I used 4)
1 tablespoon of alcohol-free vanilla extract
ice cubes
Cacao nibs (optional, to make it cookies & cream flavored!)
Protein powder (optional, if you want it to be a protein shake)
Spirolina, kale, or spinach (optional, to make it a healthy "green" shake)
Directions:
Blend everything together in a blender until smooth!
