Roasted brussel sprouts

If you like brussel sprouts you'll LOVE these easy to make, garlicy, perfectly roasted brussel sprouts. Perfect to bake on a cold evening, they make the perfect green side dish to pretty much any meal, especially a meal that's already requiring baking with the oven on.

Ingredients:

olive or coconut oil cooking spray

bag of frozen brussel sprouts

olive oil

garlic powder

sea salt

mixed seasoning or 21 season salute from Trader Joe's

turmeric

Directions:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Spray cooking spray over a clean baking sheet (I usually cover with aluminum foil, but you can also use a non-stick pan and just clean well afterwards).

Dump the bag of frozen brussel sprouts over the sprayed baking sheet. Drizzle over the brussels with olive oil. It should just be enough that each is just lightly coated (More olive oil will make moister brussels, less will be crispier but drier).

Sprinkle on seasonings. A light coat of each (go light handed with the turmeric and salt though) should provide the perfect flavor. Add extra garlic if you love things extra garlicy. Remember you can always add more later, but can't take away so be light with the seasonings when in doubt.

Bake for about 30 minutes, pulling pan out half way and flipping brussels over with a spatula. Check often to make sure they are the perfect shade of golden brown for you. Some people like them more burnt and crispy, some like them soft and less well done.

Allow to cool and then enjoy with your favorite meal!
