If you take the time every day to ponder about the little things you take for granted and the big stuff you're thankful for.. it can really enhance your quality of life. I've just been thinking about how much I love our apartment, and our awesome yard even though people steal our laundry. I'm lucky enough that I can go buy new (or thrifted) clothes when I need them. I love this town, I love my job, I love my friends, new and old, and I'm lucky to have them all. I love my family, I'm grateful for them and I'm looking forward to visiting my hometown next week. I love our pets, I'm so thankful for all of them and happy we were able to change all their lives by rescue (for the majority of them that were "adopted"). I love my husband. I love living a life where I leave as little tread on the environment as I can, I love being vegan and I love cooking amazing plant based foods. I love the markets and happenings around this town. We aren't rich with money, but we are getting by just fine, and lead lives of thrifting, bargain hunting, and compromising in order to save for our future. We are rich with love. Rich with happiness. Rich with success in finding career paths we love and not forced into a field we hate, getting paid to waste our lives away not truly living. I love living. I love life. I wake up every day happy to be alive! Please ponder on the things you love about your life, and motivate yourself to change the things you don't. I've had my shares of dark times in my life too, and unfortunately, we all will have to face more as the privileges of life come accompanied by death, sadness, and misfortunate. It happens to us all. Pick yourself up and don't let anything stop you from enjoying the finite moments of your life, because they one day will run out. Count your blessings. Embrace every breath of air with a deep exhale and let it truly fill your lungs. Hug your loved ones. Say you're sorry. And with pain, be thankful you are alive to feel that pain, let it rush through your veins and cry it out. As you feel pain, remember the feeling so you can minimize your actions of inflicting pain to others to truly experience living a full life. I am young but every day feel like the time is flying and my life is shortening right in front of me. That is why I don't let anything hold me back from living. I feel fortunate enough that I may have found the meaning of life. I haven't found a purpose yet.. but I know as I live and try my best to save animals and inspire others, that that is good enough for now.
