Avocado Milkshake

Looking for new ways to enjoy avocados? They're filled with protein and plenty of healthy fats PLUS they're creamy and delicious! Today I whipped up an avocado milkshake that's wholesome, healthy and filling! What a healthy way to enjoy a tasty treat. The fun part about this is you can adjust your ingredient amounts to make a thicker avocado pudding instead of a drinkable milkshake, or even add chocolate to make it chocolate flavored instead of vanilla. If you live in the southeastern United States and have access to Florida avocados I highly recommend using them in this because of their mild, creamy consistency, but any avocado variety will taste great. Give it a try!

Ingredients:

¼ of a large Florida avocado (or 1-2 small Haas avocados)

1 frozen banana

1 teaspoon vanilla (optional)

1 tablespoon agave, maple syrup or sweetener of your choice. This amount may be adjusted to be more or less according to taste so feel free to taste test first!

Coconut, almond or soy milk (use just enough to fill the blender up right up to the top edge of your other ingredients)

Directions:

Blend everything together in a blender or food processor! To make pudding instead, use ¼-½ the amount of milk, and adjust to get desired thickness. Feel free to add cocoa powder to make a chocolate milkshake or pudding, and even experiment with added other fruits! Enjoy :)
