Bombycoid workshop in Ecuador

A couple weeks ago I got back from a lifetime experience getting to explore the remote and protected area of Wildsumaco Ecuador while conducting moth-related fieldwork for the awesome lab I work in!

I can't share the top secret details of some of our research, however I can share some amazing photos I got of the incredible moth and wildlife diversity there! 2 weeks in the middle of nowhere without internet or phone service... I was able to read a couple of books, do a lot of relaxing, enjoy a ton of home-made Ecuadorian meals (that were made vegan just for me!!) along with giving a presentation, helping lead a workshop session, helping with research and collecting Lepidoptera specimens, doing a ton of hiking and exploring through cloud forest trails of flora, mud, waterfalls, rocky roads, and stairs going for miles into the tropical world, and even putting my creative skills to use by making the workshop poster and an award for the top butterfly collector on the trip.

Loads of fun!
