Overnight pumpkin pie oatmeal

Extremely easy, this pumpkin pie oatmeal from Around my Family Table can be prepared before you go to bed (preparations involve literally include throwing all the ingredients into a crockpot)... and delicious, flavorful pumpkin pie tasting oats will be ready to eat as soon as you wake up! (Plus your home will smell like a pumpkin pie has been baking all night!)

Ingredients:

1 ½ cups of oats (steel cut or rolled)

4 ½ cups of water (adjust according to your preference- more to make the oatmeal thinner, less to be thicker)

1 cup of canned pumpkin puree

2 teaspoons of vanilla extract

2 teaspoons of pumpkin pie spice

½ cup of brown sugar

Instructions:

Combine everything in a slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours. Stir occasionally if possible (but if you're sleeping don't worry about it!)

Wake up and enjoy! Season with more brown sugar to taste if necessary. Enjoy!
