Chocolate covered fruit

This extremely easy dessert can be put together quickly and is a healthier alternative to eating junk. Nothing goes together quite as lovely as some melted dark chocolate drizzled over strawberries and bananas (and other fruits of choice) :)






Ingredients:

1 cup of vegan dark chocolate chips

Fresh fruit: try a ripe banana, pint of fresh strawberries, half pint of fresh berries, or get creative and try others! (I believe fresh, in season and organic fruits from local farms taste the best!)


Directions:

Put chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl and microwave on high for 20 seconds. Stir with a spoon and melt for another 15 seconds or so. (All microwaves are different, so cook a little longer or for less time to get the perfect smooth, melted chocolate).

Wash fresh fruits in water and white vinegar (vinegar removes pesticide residue if you're not using organic fruits). Chop and serve with chocolate for dipping! I love to cut off the tops of strawberries and cut a little hole in the middle of the white part creating a mini "bowl" and fill with melted chocolate :P Yum! Get creative!
