I've been looking to get fit again, because in addition to a vegan diet ad lifestyle, exercise is very important too. I had been going to the gym actively in the beginning of the year (New Year's resolution, obviously...) but as time went on, especially after we got our newest dog Manny, I stopped going as often and then just didn't bother to renew my membership for the summer. I got a lot of helpful feedback on workouts to try and other fun and easy ways to stay fit, so each day I plan to try something new and I will share my favorite workouts with you.
One thing I wanted to pair with a healthy daily workout was some healthy stretching and relaxation: Yoga. I've taken classes in the past but never had the opportunity to take a good beginner's class which always had me feeling lost and frustrated. A friend suggested I try some Youtube videos by Yoga with Adriene, so tonight I did her beginner's video and am pleased so far. She has many yoga videos to choose from so I'm going to stick to it and do a video every day. I'll keep you updated on my progress... I'm sure I'll learn many more tips to stay fit and be healthy in my journey of getting back in shape! In addition to a daily workout and yoga sequence, I've been sticking to a healthy all-natural vegan diet which has helped me maintain my current weight, which is less than it had been before I went vegan. I found that no matter how healthy I eat though I still haven't been losing weight.. I've just been able to avoid gaining- so I realized I need to add exercise if I plan on burning extra calories in addition to building back the muscle I've lost these past few lazy months. I'll keep you updated on the lifestyle change- many fun tips and tricks to come! Also, look out for new posts about some new natural products I've been using!
