4 minute guac

Today, while at our local supermarket they had a great sale on local Florida avocados. Naturally, we bought ten! (If you've ever had one of these huge Florida avocados.. you'll understand why!) As an impulsive and quick snack, I literally whipped up some guacamole for us in under 5 minutes today. If you have the ingredients on hand, this makes an excellent snack, side to a meal, spread on a sandwich, or a quick pack and go snack or lunch. Pair it with some healthy chips or veggies and you're set!

Ingredients:

1 Avocado
garlic powder
black pepper
sea salt
lemon juice

Directions:

If you have an avocado slicer, use it to slice open the avocado, remove the pit, and scrape out/mash up the avocado meat into a small bowl. If you don't, use a small knife to cut the avocado in half (around the pit), and separate the two halves. Remove the pit and scrape out and mash the meat with a spoon into a small bowl.

Add garlic powder, black pepper, sea salt and lemon juice to taste. Everyone's preferences are different, and the fun of NOT measuring is that your masterpiece will taste a bit different every time you make it. If you aren't even sure where to start, I suggest a dash of the salt and pepper, a teaspoon of the garlic, and a tablespoon of the lemon juice. If you want to kick it up a notch, opt for lime juice instead of lemon juice, or do a bit of each :) Enjoy!
