1. I really miss going to Mexico and seeing the monarchs while they were overwintering there. It was always my dream to go there and now that I have it's my dream to go back! Lesson: Travel, travel, travel while you can!
2. Lots of important birthdays coming up... including mine! (I'm over the whole being old thing.... thanks for the pick me ups guys)! grin emoticon
3. How do people pull off those loose fitting, brightly patterned PJ looking pants as "casual" wear? I'm so envious? I tried getting some the other day and I just look like I'm wearing pajamas out in public... I think I'll just start wearing my pajamas out in public and that will be considered trendy...
4. I sure miss my damn sunflower pants that some rude person stole out our laundry. It's been almost a year since my last wear of them. I saw a girl at the mall yesterday that was wearing pants in the same print.. I confronted her and turns out they weren't mine (they were leggings, not pants) frown emoticonPeople... stealing someone's laundry is rude, gross, and makes them sad! If you want used clothes please go to Goodwill!
5. I'm so thankful for all of our rescue animals we have saved.. even if people think we are crazy. I feel that Modoc (the cockatiel) was truly meant to be here with us. He keeps reopening old wounds he had and damaged blood feathers keep breaking and bleeding almost every day. We had to practically give him an entire flour bath today to keep him from bleeding out (bird people.. if anyone has suggestions on this please let me know... he's fine now, but it's a constant problem. I want to want until he is more comfortable being handled before pulling any blood feathers out or whatever needs to be done.. I don't want to traumatize him while we are still earning his trust). He enjoys a huge cage, cuttlebone and chew toys, and play toys he's never gotten to have before! He even craves attention and likes to come out now. Every animal we have changed the life of has even more changed mine.
6. I'm ready for fall, pumpkins, and Halloween. And today is only the start of summer!
7. The mangos from Mango Mike are better quality and better tasting than any mangos we have gotten before. Support local farmers and enjoy delicious mangoes.. can't beat that! He's here in Gainesville a couple weekends out of each month, let me know if you want to be notified when he's selling them!
8. Our garden. I am in love with it. We are attracting neighbors we never met before to our yard and making friends because of it. We are growing food out of it to eat. We are composting, recycling, planting, propagating, growing, watering, pruning and loving. Gardening is therapeutic, beautiful, and life-changing. Our brown thumbs have turned green. Even if it's only a window garden, or whatever you have the space for; I encourage you to start one.
9. Life is beautiful. Today and every day. I'm thankful for family, friends, pets, and our angels.. of those no longer here on earth. On father's day I remember how lucky I am to have a guardian angel always. Hold your loved ones close, and appreciate and love them while they're here. Life can be swept from us in an instant.
10. Thanks for reading this many random things I've thought about today tongue emoticon
