My favorite tattoo shops

Got a new tattoo..... and I have Anthem Tattoo in Gainesville, Florida to thank! Mike Salay did an excellent job on my 2 new monarch additions and did it in record time.. it only took him an hour and a half to tattoo these beauties on my leg. The best part is they are affordable too. There are a lot of tattoo shops in Gainesville to choose from but I got a recommendation from a friend who got a beautiful tat done by Mike. They are friendly here, kind and they take walk ins as well as appointments (I got lucky with a walk-in, but it's best to make an appointment, especially if you want to have them help you plan out your tattoo). Anthem is off the beaten track but one of the best in the area. Mike's wife even runs an art gallery in the studio, setting it apart from the rest (and she has the same name as me, so she's automatically awesome!). If you're visiting the area or a local to Gainesville, please check out Anthem next time you are looking to get some ink!

Also to note... I've been to plenty of shops around New Jersey, the only other state I've been tattooed in... both good and bad. My favorite in NJ for sure is Eternal Etchings. I got many pieces done by Shannon there and she worked with me on custom complicated pieces, to simple designs, to cover-ups too. Shannon and her sister own and run the studio and the most affordable in the area. They are located in the Villas, NJ. Check em out!
