Wedding Nostalgia

Today I am looking through pictures and missing our wedding day more than ever! It's already been 4+ months since the big day, and I miss every second of it. I keep seeing people getting engaged and I wish and hope that each of you gets to have the wedding of your dreams, as big or as small as you envision it! Some people said it wouldn't be worth the money. Some people said it goes by within the blink of an eye so what's the point of a whole year's worth of planning. They were wrong. I am so fortunate to have had the wedding of MY dreams, and I am glad I had the help from family and friends who put in the time and effort to make every little detail so perfect. Thanks to our parents who financially helped us do it. Thanks to my mom who is the genius of DIY projects and who helped my half-planned ideas become real. Thanks to Josh for being agreeable and excited about the crazy colors and butterflies that took over the wedding. I'm glad we didn't have a party planner do everything, and I'm glad I stressed out as much as I did just to save a bit of money and do so much on my own with the help of those who love us enough to have put in the time that they did.  Make sure your day is truly yours by adding the touches that make it YOU... not just traditional, pinterest inspired, or copying today's trends. Get good references to have an amazing venue and vendors like we did with incredible people to work with. I wouldn't have changed a thing for ours and if I could relive it all I would do it exactly the same again! Make enough memories that you can easily relive and remember your big day over and over again.. because after all.. it SHOULD only happen once :) Thank you again for everyone that made it just perfect!
