Salted Chocolate Hemp Shake

Here's another delicious smoothie from Angela Liddon's Oh She Glows Every Day cookbook! This one could be a way to start your day or it's milkshake-like taste can sub in for a very healthy dessert! Packed with some natural proteins, omega-3 fatty acids and antioxidants, this wholesome treat is just what your body is craving.
Ingredients
(makes 4 cups/2 smoothies):
1 3/4 cups unsweetened almond milk
1 large frozen banana
3-4 pitted dates soaked in hot water for a few minutes to soften OR 2 tablespoons maple syrup
3 tablespoons cocoa powder
3 tablespoons hemp hearts
1 tablespoon coconut or nut butter of your choice
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
1/8 fine sea salt or more to taste
4 ice cubes

Directions:

Blend together in high speed blender until smooth. Enjoy!
