The perfect salad dressing

This perfect homemade house dressing is simple, quick, wholesome and delicious. I throw this together as a basic dressing whenever we make a salad at home. It's mild and simple but still has a lot of flavor also packed with lots of wholesome goodness (Apple cider vinegar, fresh garlic, and turmeric-black pepper combo are all-curing superfoods that are great for just about every ailment... try incorporating them into your diet daily!). The way this dressing brightens up the taste of your greens will motivate you to eat salads more. Here's my simple and basic version- feel free to mix it up and modify if you'd like.. there's so many variations to this simple dressing based on whatever you have on hand.. and the best part, you don't need to even measure anything exactly, just throw it all together!

Ingredients:

~ 1 part oil (I use extra-virgin olive, but you can use avocado, sesame, or anything of your choice)
~ 1 part vinegar (I use apple cider, but you can use white, red-wine, or rice)
~ roughly 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
~ 2 fresh garlic gloves minced or pureed (feel free to add more to taste) OR a good dash of garlic powder
~ dash of fresh ground black pepper to taste
~ about 1 teaspoon fresh ground turmeric or a good shake of turmeric powder
~ himalayan or sea salt, 1 teaspoon or so

Directions:

Mix everything together either in a small blender or food processor, combine in a dressing mixer container or whisk in a small bowl or jar... any way that you're getting the oil and vinegar blended together well with all the other ingredients. Enjoy over salad! Store in a small jar or container in the fridge... I like to reuse old salad dressing glass containers but any jar will work fine too. If you love this, make up a larger batch to last you all week for quick and easy dinners or lunches.
