Quick hack for vegan pumpkin cream cheese spread!

If you LOVE pumpkin everything during the fall season and also cannot resist a fresh bagel smeared with (vegan) cream cheese, then you will love this really simple hack for making your own pumpkin flavored cream cheese in a jiff!




Ingredients:

Package of vegan cream cheese (I love Trader Joe's brand!)
Canned pumpkin puree

optional additions: maple syrup, cinnamon & pumpkin spice for SWEET, or salt, pepper, garlic, everything toppings of your choice for SAVORY


Directions:

Mix together some vegan cream cheese and pumpkin puree either in a small bowl, or directly on your bagel! The ratio is up to your personal taste, but I usually do about 2/3 cream cheese and 1/3 pumpkin. If you find the creamy pumpkin flavor needs a little something extra, add a dash of cinnamon, some maple syrup, and a sprinkle of pumpkin spice (nutmeg, cloves, etc.) to taste for a sweet pumpkin spice cream spread! If you prefer it savory, sprinkle in some salt, pepper, garlic powder, poppy seeds and/or sesame seeds for a delicious bite. Trader Joe's makes an "Everything Bagel" seasoning I love that literally includes all of those things... and I just sprinkled some of this into my pumpkin cream cheese on a bagel. Whatever you choose.. it'll be wonderful I'm sure!
